In School Dental Care for High School Students
The Tooth Stylists is a mobile dental practice servicing secondary schools across the Waikato. From year 9 through to till their 18th birthday. We offer a range of dental treatments for the students and also hygiene appointments for staff.

How we operate
If your school meets the criteria for a visit - we have our expert technician personally deliver our mobile dental unit to an agreed location within the school. Parents can then request their children be seen on board our unit during school time. We start with an initial consultation, this includes: dental examination, x-rays, oral pathology and oral cancer screening, teeth cleaning and polish, fluoride treatment (when needed), and oral hygiene instructions. Once we have further consent we are then able to provide composite (white) fillings, baby teeth extractions, and more.
We do give parents the option to be present for any dental work. It's just one less appointment parents have to schedule into their busy day.
Servicing the Waikato

We also provide discounted hygiene appointments for all staff on board our mobile dental unit. From a scale and polish to the more complex root planning under local anesthetic. We screen for periodontal disease and can advise on the future of your gum health.
A little bit about us
We are a team of 2, myself (Cherie) and my assistant (Jo). Together we work in a relaxed yet professional atmosphere where the students are inspired to improve their oral health for life.
20 years ago I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life, I took a job at a local dentist and that sparked a passion. In 2008 I graduated with a dual degree - the first of its kind in NZ. I won numerous awards while studying, and have been very fortunate to have worked alongside some of NZ's best dentists and specialists. My dual degree as an Oral Health Therapist is a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist in one. That passion may have turned into a bit of an obsession and has led to the development of The Tooth Stylists. Everyone should have access to health care, this is my way of doing my part for the future of children's teeth.
